We have to be proud to some great leaders that had built great heritage building and infrastructure. Sailendra had built us a Borobudur and proved that we had great architect like Gunadharma. We have to be jealous to Daendels who stayed in Jawa for only three years had left us a thousand kilometers road Anyer – Panarukan. We have to know without his idea to build that road Jawa Island would not have the long road and jalan Slamet Riadi in Solo would become the longest road in Java. Raffles had inherited us a beautiful Bogor Palace and Botanical Garden in Bogor. Without Raffles Bogor would become nothing and has no interesting place to visit.
Soekarno, was our President and he is a great leader. He built us many buildings and he was scolded by short sighted people as wasting the national resources just to build glamorous projects. But he left us great Monument National, Istiqlal Mosque, Jatiluhur Dam, Senayan Sport Center, a beautiful Hotel Indonesia, Soekarno Hatta airport, Trans Sumatra Highways, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol and etc. When Soekarno build Istiqlal, he said that he wanted to build a mosque just like Borobudur which might last for thousand years! And like Sailendra had Gunadharma then Soekarno had Silaban as his architect. And the most important he wanted to build national character for Indonesian.
Ibu Tien Suharto was a great first lady too…why? She was a lady with great dreams and was also scolded by people when she built the projects. Tien Soeharto had build Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and some other project like Taman Bunga in Jakarta. What is the good of Taman Mini and Taman Bunga? That gardens have always become the great place to visit for millions Indonesian people. As for her grave she built also a famous graveyard up in the hill which called Astana - Mangadeg Gribangun Matesih – Solo. Thousand people still visit that graveyard every day. One should know how we could have a green Jagorawi highway. It was Tien Soeharto who ordered Jasa Marga to plant threes all along both side the highway. Thank to bu Tien Soeharto.
How is Soeharto? Is he a great Leader? In some way yes….at least he built many dams for the people and could stay in his position for 32 years. But he had no vision for Indonesian people and what he thought was only power.
Habibie is a stateman but not great leader and we could remember him through IPTN. Gus Dur he is surely not great leader but he is greatman and minority owed him something. Megawati she is Soekarno’s daughter and she left us nothing …………….as to President SBY, we had waited something from him…. and he spent 10 years in his presidency for his own greatness.
Then come Jokowi, his face not handsome and many ladies do not like his face since he is not handsome. But in three years only he works like Daendels.....If Daendels built 1.000 km roads, Jokowi builds many infrastructures ..highways, road. seaports, dams, railways...and provide welfare as well
